Last week part of Assateague was shut down because of something on the beach. Not a horseshoe crab, not a whale, not a seal or a pony or even a seagull. It was World War II ordnance. Maybe not the best thing for kids or ponies to be playing with.

I am a writer, an actress, and I've done some standup comedy. I have three children who are into the arts and sciences. I refuse to take life seriously until it starts taking me seriously. I adore the work of Neil Gaiman, Saki, PG Wodehouse, Douglas Adams, Dick Francis, Terry Pratchett, Scott Westerfeld, Jayne Ann Krentz, Maureen Johnson, Kelley Armstrong and the Emperor Norton.
