I was just listening to Mr. Roboto by Queen and I was struck by how incredibly passionate and melodramatic it is and I started laughing like mad. The only thing that could make it more purple would be if William Shatner sang it. That would be sublime.

I am a writer, an actress, and I've done some standup comedy. I have three children who are into the arts and sciences. I refuse to take life seriously until it starts taking me seriously. I adore the work of Neil Gaiman, Saki, PG Wodehouse, Douglas Adams, Dick Francis, Terry Pratchett, Scott Westerfeld, Jayne Ann Krentz, Maureen Johnson, Kelley Armstrong and the Emperor Norton.
