A depressing story

This article about a thirteen year old girl who wants to sail around the world by herself is depressing. It's unfortunate that someone who has literally been sailing her entire life and knows exactly what she wants from life has had her legal rights taken from her. And her poor parents. Unlike many parents they support their child's desire to be independent and explore and so they lose their rights also. Ugh.
