Let's have a freak out party!

The president says let's stay in school, work hard, etc, etc, and a bunch of people flip out. What message do they want their children to have? Coast, do the minimum, drop out, get a crap job that's outsourced in five years?

Listen up panickers, we're already behind other countries. We need a smart, well educated workforce. There's nothing wrong with working up to our potential and there's nothing wrong with a person in authority doing the encouraging.

It's laughable how some parents think their children will be brainwashed, as one parent said at Cam's school. Someone needs to learn how brainwashing works. One speech sure as hell doesn't do it.

This guy in this article is even more laughable.

And Chris Stigall, a Kansas City talk show host, said, “I wouldn’t let my next-door neighbor talk to my kid alone; I’m sure as hell not letting Barack Obama talk to him alone.”

According to his logic his kid is the only one in the entire school. And he'll be talking face to face with the president, not watching a streaming video. Does he know how dumb he sounds? Also I have to wonder what the father is hiding if he forbids his children to talk to the neighbors. Forbidding the children to speak to anyone outside of the family is a classic sign of abuse.

It's bizarre to me how some people are so rabidly against President Obama that they'll have a cow over every little thing he does.

I live near Baltimore where the high school drop out rate is appalling and the unemployment rate for black adult males is equivalent. I say the more we stay in school the better. we really need more resources.
