Some plays you should go see

A group of 16 striking TV writers have come together to craft a lineup of short plays featuring TV-series actors that will run for five performances in Los Angeles.

The profits from the playlets, under the umbrella title "TV Takes the Stage," will be funneled to the Motion Picture and TV Fund to help non-writers who have suffered since the strike began on Nov. 5. The event takes place at the Macha Theater in West Hollywood from Jan. 31 through Feb. 3, and talks are under way to bring the performance to New York. The tickets cost between $20 and $30 each.

From this Variety article.

The one acts run for 8 to 15 minutes and one of them is about the first night that King Louis and Marie Antoinette spend together, which should be interesting, albeit awkward. I didn't realize how many years it took those poor kids to figure out how things worked until a month or so ago.
