Why do so Many Authors Make their Characters Clumsy?

I woke up at 6:20 this morning with a terrible headache. I got up and played some Angry Birds, waiting to see if I was going to feel better, or go back to sleep, but neither thing happened.

Then I got up to go the bathroom, tripped over my own feet, knocked a pile of books to the floor, then hit my desk and knocked that around, fell over the cat and finally managed to go two steps.

I'll just try to stay away from bluffs and cliffs today...

Surveillance footage shows coyote enter parkade

This poor guy is so confused. He's like those birds you see flying around the warehouse stores.

Also this is possibly the most awkward way to carry an animal ever recorded.

Days of our Death?

I'm watching the beginning of last Friday's Days of Our Lives when Cullen comes in.

Me: All these people are planning to kill Stefano. It would be awesome of they all got in a circle and killed each other.

Cullen: I want to see one of them shoot him, then he staggers outside, gets shot by someone else, and so on until they've all shot him.

Me: He is kind of the Rasputin of Salem.

Cullen: Exactly.

Identity Theft?

I got a call from my vet, which worried me because he had his sad/extra concerned voice. I hadn't had my pets in to see him in a few months. The last time was a senior checkup for George, who is  now in his sixties in cat years. George's blood work was excellent. So why the sad voice?

My vet was calling because another vet told him my Akita had been hit by a car and had to have surgery!

Thankfully my dog is fine. He hasn't even been off the leash in a bit because he's been jumping out of the yard and visiting our neighbor. (Who is fine with it, but we don't want him to wear out his welcome.)

I don't know why someone gave our dog's name. I sure hope we don't get the bill! And I hope their dog is okay.
